PRESS INVITATION: 10MILA TRANÅS, MAY 2–3, 2026

You are cordially invited to cover 10MILA in Tranås, one of the world’s most thrilling orienteering events! Since its debut at the end of WWII in 1945, 10MILA has been the most prestigious relay for club teams to win. The stories and myths surrounding the legendary “Long Night”—the toughest night leg of the race—are countless. Now, new history is set to be written in Tranås.

10MILA spans an entire day and night, starting in daylight, continuing through dusk into the deep night, and reaching its climax in the early morning hours. Every year, approximately 850 teams and over 6,000 runners participate during the 10MILA weekend.

At 10MILA, the world elite battle for the year’s most prestigious relay title. Further down the field, thousands of orienteers compete on the same courses as the pros, fighting to beat rival clubs and complete the challenge of reaching the finish line.
